DOCTOR WHO:HORNS OF THE NIMON

Pbs replays Bbc stuff late night on Saturdays. This is a vintage movie i think? The Nimon monsters are pretty fucked up which is why i stopped at this channel. Really bizarre looking creatures.Black spandexed slugbait minotaurs , like some sketchy bad acid trip nightmare creature. I haven't seen this monster before their not as family friendly as Daleks and Cybermen and somewhat scary,that might have something to do with it. These underrated monsters are almost a prototype of the weird shit you'd see in later cult horror films like Basket Case and Night Breed..I could see someone getting dosed and watching this in the seventies and having a bad time... They should have saved these evil demonic things for a Barbarella knockoff. A rare instance when campy scifi fun inadvertently crosses over into the realm of nightmares. Like the Bomar Monks and Fukasaku's Green Slime.

EYE FOR AN EYE -JOHN SACK (WWW.JOHNSACK.COM)

The great information archaeologist Russ Kick turned me onto this.

This is a very controversial and inflammatory book that exposes an ugly aspect of human history that most people cannot swallow. Most people were afraid to even review this book. The few reviews that were published of this book were hatchet jobs meant to slander it and discredit the author. A Harvard journal went so far as to cite quotes from the book the reviewer made up himself. Resorting to outright lies to suppress this. Unpleasant truths are better than pleasant falsehoods and its only when we know and understand the worst about ourselves and our fellow man that we can compartmentalize and comprehend the nature of existence. This is a harsh work of uncompromisingly brutal truths that remind us of the fact that no one is innocent and that we cant simply look at things in terms of black and white ,good vs evil,. The author approaches this extreme subject matter with good taste and restraint. He refrains from resorting to morbid exploitation.

This book needs to read by anyone interested in reality.

Its a very well sourced and heavily annotated expose on the jews who setup over 1200 concentration camps at the end of world war 2 and beat, whipped, tortured and executed mass numbers of German civilians in revenge for the holocaust. Centering around Lola , the jJwish Ilsa. Despite the subject matter there's nothing tabloid about this... (I wonder if Celine knew about this?......)

PINKISH BLACK-RAZED TO THE GROUND

After hearing the second album by this band i was very excited to finally get ahold of their debut album Razed to the Ground.

Psychedelic doom&sludgy post-Krautrock lurching beneath layers of analog synth and theremin work like a reanimated corpse clawing its way through layers of dirt to the surface, summoned from the beyond by a chanting priest in league with cthulhu. The vocals sound like the reanimated corpse of Syd Barret possessed by the ghost of Ian Curtis.This as always invokes obvious comparisons to Goblin, Fabbio Frizzi and Nash the Slash.This has more of a heavier doom element to it, less abstract then the second album. Like a satanic perversion of early Alien Soundtracks/Half Machine Lip Moves Chrome. As always, this is a unique cult act that defies classification . It's all over the fucking place, theirs a lot of weird shit going on with this record but it all ties together into one of the best records iv heard in a long fucking time. absolutely essential cult material

ASPHYX-Live Death Doom

One of the best and most canonical live doom metal records since Sabbath Live at Asbury Park New Jersey.This is a retrospective of their best material recorded live . This is fucking brutal and harsh. This is mastered as loud as Merzbow>> The guitar work is like someone slowly sawing the head off a body with a rusty hacksaw, straining to cut through the tendons and then struggling to get through the spinal cord. Imagine a Motorhead 45 of raw live bootlegs played at 33 through a blown out amp. No quick deaths, slowly savoring the pain,drinking the blood,dismembering the corpse piece by piece while still alive.The abrasive raw trebly buzzing high end guitar tone Asphyx uses in between crushing doom sections, is fucking harsh. In combination with the Lemmy on pcp gargling broken glass vocalist you have some unrelentingly extreme shit. Asphyx fucking kills it.

This one of the best Merzbow collabs since his work with Boris.

Merzbow has remained for decades an abrasive fuck you to ignorant cattle that justify their lack of creativity & laziness by saying its all been done before/no ones original/everyones copying someone. fuck off. listen to this and then go fucking kill yourself.

I'm an uncompromisingly militant fucking elitist when it comes to certain shit. I have no patience let alone interest in pedestrian shit that panders to the status quo. In a depraved echo of the Lovecraftian occult researchers quest for forbiden esoteric grimoires to summon fourth the ancient ones to destroy the earth, I've always been driven towards the obscure fringes of aesthetic expression.

This collaboration combines Merzbow's experimental analog synth noisescapes with experimental guitar work. Dragging the conventional standards of improv free jazz into a hellish landscape of discordant madness almost on the level of the acid freakouts of Les Rallizes Denudes. This is uncompromisingly extreme work that makes John Zorn and Anthony Braxton sound like fucking Kenny G in comparison.Making freeform improv jazz psychedelia a threat again.

At this point, Jazz has become the go to genre of choice for neophyte faux intellectuals, freshly born again as dilettantes from decades of listening to pedestrian pop music. Still reaching for something so accessible it's just about as bubblegum. Because Jazz and Blues isn't a threat, it's not challenging. It's status quo and assimilated into popular culture. So now whenever you see a former sheep trying to crawl out of his cage and sever his mass media feeder tube, they crawl towards major label jazz . Jazz decades ago used to be innovative and original, now it's as exciting as elevator music and a convenient way for people to pose and pretend to have sophisticated knowledge of fringe music.

Don't you just fucking hate those simple minded centroclines who claim they appreciate all forms of music and listen to everything with an open mind. The fucking brutal truth of the matter is they say that largely because they're unable to form an opinion about anything let alone express themselves independently outside of what's deemed acceptable by the herd. Second of all, the wankers that say that shit aren't obsessive completists whose sanity can justifiably called into question.... I'm obviously on the spectrum. so what.

NOOTHGRUSH-FALLING EARLY,FALLING OFTEN,

When you melt Early Swans records on top of Flipper and Saint Vitus lps and play it at half speed, you get Noothgrush. I just manged to obtain this album. Noothgrush is to Grief what Return Of the Living Dead is to Dawn Of the Dead. Both bands work also shambles fourth like a stumbling reanimated corpse. I had a copy of this about 12 years ago i got it right before Slap a Ham went out of business.

Pure bleak suffocating low end domination from this cult crawling horde . Noothgrush came out of the Slap A Ham fringes of the hardcore/power violence underground with slow as fuck hypnotic riffs&push-pull rhythms. Downtuned stomach churning low end guitars with all the high end notched out and saturated with distortion. The only thing cutting through the bass is the drums,the crazed pained vocalist and the feedback that bleeds through to the surface like an open wound. The lyrics deal with stuff like misanthropy, animal rights, primitivism and Star Wars,.There are a few well- chosen and placed samples throughout this record that make you think-- very thought provoking brief intermissions from the sludge. Like a drowning victim poking his head above water and briefly seeing the light..

This also includes a neat cover of the Imperial March from Star Wars. This is discordant disharmonic violent sludge, not the melodic doom of the Cathedral school.

 PARADISE LOST-DROWN IN DARKNESS:THE EARLY DEMOS

Burzum cited the Paradise Lost demos as a main influence in his autobiography. And if you listen to Frozen Illusion from Paradise Lost and then Snu Mikrokosms Tegn off Burzum's Det Som Lp the influence is obvious. Slow shambling down tempo combination of campy late 80s death metal histrionics and more atmospheric 'Early Bathory in slow motion' evilness, Like a blackened Autopsy .

The noisy production of this and the epic evil nature of this and the attitude of this render this an absolute cult classic. There's a lot of distinctive pinch harmonics and saturated distortion on the guitars, that attempts to emulate the slow menacing melodies of Hammer films horror soundtracks, matching perfectly with the demonic vocals fighting for clarity on the warped cassette this was sourced from. After these late 1980s demo tapes Paradise Lost sadly went the way of the various beloved Proto-industrial groups that sold their soul to synthpop. These demos fucking rule. In addition to their noted influence on Burzum.,These demos tapes helped start Death Doom, moving death away from its speed-obsessed thrash roots towards more transgressive sonic explorations of evil.

BEREFT - LEICHENHAUS

This appears to be recorded in one straight session, no editiing. Mentality of The Inanimate is the best track on this record.  Very bleak funeral sludge, the suffocating dissonant doom is combined with harmonic droning walls of piercing feedback and rusty accoustic interludes, Like a low-budget Evoken crossed with a less core Dementia Senex. After Mentality, it briefly gets too melodic in certain sections but the brutality of the vocals save it. They try to layer fx pedals to add texture. Electric Wizard and Skullflower can pull that off, but when Bereft tries , you get the maudlin aftertaste of beardo Isis worship.

There appears to be two vocalists trading off: low/high. One of the vocalist sounds like he has alot of experience doing death metal and the other vocalist sounds like he comes from more of a dark hardcore background, in the vein of His Hero Is Gone. This changes up quite a bit and bleeds into itself like one long harrowing composition. It's a unique full length. This band should move away from the 'Cult Of Luna' aspects of their sound and move towards a noisier death direction. It sounds like most of this band is made up of reformed hardcore musicians trying to cross over into a darker more extreme direction. This is a fucking epic harsh brutal and monolithic effort for the most part aside from the unfortunate dabblings in hipster/core shit.

CHTHE'ILIST -LE DERNIER CREPUSCLE

A gurgling gothic sewer of Death Doom. . Like Demillich crossed with Undergang . Subtle horror soundtrack keyboards and dark ambient effects fleshing out the sewage and alongside the absurdly low vocals Demillich is infamous for you also get Incantation-esque raspy shrieks and occult chanting. Shredding solos and satanic Funkadelic basslines occassionally float to the surface of the sewage, like bloated corpses.The vocals change up depending on the atmosphere.

Very well-layered work that builds like a nightmarish soundscape. Some sounds become buried and then rise from the grave. Unsettling fluctuations in sound..Very powerful metal record with intelligent themes and interesting riffs and atmosphere .

(A TRIBUTE TO DEATH IN JUNE)-VARIOUS ARTISTS

If readers are in interested in hearing a good tribute to Death In June, seek out DoctorShopper. DoctorShopper is a a powerful fucked up black metal sludge noise/grind act that puts out intelligent atrocity exhibitions of nihilistic and unrelentingly misanthropic sonic chaos.They did an excellent cover of the old Death In June song first from the Crisis days "All Alone In Her Nirvana" . DoctorShopper has a sincere understanding and respect for what Death In June stands for. Which is rare.

This Tribute comp is obviously a publicity stunt. Like dressing up as a Sharp so you can get mistaken for a nazi skinhead and then lecture someone on your shoe strings being the wrong color for you to be a nazi. They choose Death in June as the subject of this tribute because Death In June is a convenient target. ( Its funny on old Crisis live tapes fascists in the crowd call them "Fucking Communists" and now wannabe communists call them fucking fascists.)

To punks the "Fuck Censorship" party line only applies to people saying things they agree with. Black Vase is on this compilation. I suspect Black Vase to be Dominick Fernow. Nice joke , "I PLAYED IN BLACK VASE ON A DEATH IN JUNE TRIBUTE ALBUM"

There isn't shit about Black Vase on Discogs.com. All they appear to have done is a couple comps. But Black Vase is also the name of of an old marginally decent classic Prurient album. On the tracklisting I have, Black Vase censors the title from Fields of Rape to Fields. The only well known and established band on this compilation is Digital Leather's cover of She Said Destroy. DIgital Leather takes a cue from Earth Crisis.... by changing the word Gas to Glass. "Bodies Collapse swollen with Glass" Instead of Gas as it was in the original.

Earth Crisis covered "Holiday In Cambodia" and changed the lyrics to "reckon that you know how the brothers feel so cold". That's just fucking cowardice. Spazz snuck on a Fat Wreck comp with a power violence jam called something like "Prayer for the Utter Annihilation of Pop Punk" that's righteous. But censoring words to a song your allegedly paying tribute to so you can passive aggressively talk shit on a band is pathetic. I'm sure the unknown bands on this comp will love it when Digital Leather and Prurient completists pick it up and then they can explain themselves in interviews and prattle about the Situationist Methods of Detournment they used in their Death In June parody track to drum up some record sales.

Same with the label that put this shit out. They got the last laugh by turning the P.c. Scene police drama club into a business opportunity. Digital Leather was a quality synth punk band that respected and tastefully drew upon the work of Suicide, Metal Urbain, Hardcore era Devo and Screamers. I think they did a Screamers cover also and they rarely crossed over into Casio core/sleazy cheesy 101/Faint/Electroclash bullshit.. The harsher work the keyboardist does as Destruction Unit is also great work. The Bassist for Digital Leather used to play in The Lost Sounds, another great synth punk act that ended in self destructive trauma, death. Lost Sounds tried to play a upbeat 60s garage psych/late 70s/80s synth punk fusion . But all the drama and bad blood between band members turned this band rabid. All the hate between members turned their live shows violent. People started labeling em Black Wave, claiming it was like a combination of New Wave and Black Metal. ALicija trout won't record anything but pop music now because of the bad ptsd issues she developed from being in Lost Sounds and her ex Jay Reatard did the solo album Blood Visions i think on a tascam, to show he didnt' need the band and Jay Reatard was a talented enough musician to cross over into the mainstream if he wasn't so fucked up in the head.

Blood Visions intelligently vented all his homicidal ideations towards his former bandmates, Including a catchy song about stalking his ex. Blood Visions sounds like Devo if they sold all their all their synths for meth and got spun out and suicidal. Before his death , Jay Reatard recorded Terror Visions World of Shit .One of my favorite Synth punk records ever. Jay Reatard died in his mid twenties but he went out on a high note with Blood Visions &Terror Visions World of Shit. His death was epic revenge because his former bandmates and everyone in that scene will forever be in his shadow. He made a powerful impact. Like a fucking car crash.

GO GET LOST SOUNDS TWO BEST ALBUMS BLAC STATIC & LOST LOST DEMOS OFF SLSK AND BLOOD VISIONS & TERROR VISIONS. CRUCIAL SHIT YOU NEED. AND GET SOME MOTHERFUCKING DOCTORSHOPPER!

Thurston trend whore's attempt at metal... Bored with major label corporate shit he's moved onto Shoegazing industrial noise rock bleeding out into some postmetal shit rotting putridly with the stench of Alcest.. It fuses postsludge Earth/Boris-ish ripoff drone rock with Eurythmie -esque faux black metal.

This lp will be sure to inspire lots of shitty beardo hipster bands to throw rocks at.... This is only marginally better than the trendy shit you hear played by beardo hipsters that look like lumbersexual ewok rapists. It makes you miss bands like Gasp & Toadliquor that performed Experimetal with teeth...I remember the Gasp Lp on Slap a Ham , from 2002 ,. and Toadliquor's Horators Lament. That was experimental metal with teeth. harsh . Epic brutality. Not like all this postmetal shit from lames that cut themselves while they jerk off to Dominick Fernow Hitler Youth memes in their parents' basement. Fuck this scene and fuck whatever Thurston Whore stands for. Dabbling dilettante tourist using his industry connections to slum it in the underground and try to regain his street cred or whatever the fuck hes trying to do....

A harsh union of creative forces combining depressive funeral sludge with hints of death industrial;. to form textured and layered compositions of industrialized avant garde metal. Imagine a more minimalist & somber Gnaw Their Tounges,with subtle nods to the Bovine era of Agoraphobic Nosebleed & Locust records played at the wrong speed.. a few grind sections but this is mostly executed at an Early Swans tempo. Sounds bleed together into one concrete whole, crushing gears in a machine made of sepulcheral dissonance. No riffs to be found just blackness.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: Lets Do the Time Warp Again

Rocky Horror was always one of my two favorite musicals next to Pennies From Heaven. People welcomed this desecration with open arms, opening the door to shit like Adult Swim Noise Comps. This shit made me angry. Tim Curry wasnt very passable, neither was Divine, that over the top glam trash look had a punk rock nihilism to it and it said fuck you to the status quo of straight civilian society in ways a clean passable postop trying desperately to assimilate themselves into the herd cannot ever approach.
      That's why there's alot of criticisms of Gay Marriage laws being passed. Its a form of cultural genocide to drag everyone down to the same level as everyone else and eliminate their individuality. So this clean sterile version of Rocky Horror with a Doctor Frankenfurter that could pass as a chick, is just fucking wrong on alot of levels.
       The Dead Kennedys Support The Troops Reunion band, Peter Hook's attempts to dig up Ian Curtis' grave and rape his corpse after becoming burned out on ecstacy, The Steve Ignorant cashes out tour, and Trent Reznor's cover of Warm Leatherette have nothing on the remake of Rocky Horror. This atrocity should be entitled Further Proof of the Decline of Western Civiliation.This is just fucking wretched horrid shit that's filled with more shit than VHS copies of Toilet Face & Eating the Schoolgirl.
    This is like having Blacula replace Christopher Lee in a remake of Hammer's Dracula. Tim Curry is the only original cast member involved and plays a cameo role as the Criminologist. Curry is disrespectful and ungratful to his cult fanbase. instead of embracing the movement he helped start like Judy Garland did, Curry will show up at Conventions in a suit and tie and emphasize how much of a straight heterosexual he is. And now he participates in the sacrilegious desecration of the film that immortalized him.
      Years ago their were rumors of a remake and this resulted in an online petition against it and production was supposedly canceled. I guess it came back from the dead. As a made-for-tv movie, because they know they were wrong to desecrate this and if you put this in a theatre, you'd likely provoke a Stonewall riot type situation.This remake is a disrespectful abomination to say the least.The fact that people will support this remake and give it high praises and argue that its better than the original, is further evidence that the human race needs to be exterminated. This film will reignite those forgotten feelings of bitter misanthropy some of us have lost when we grew older and accepting of our fate in this eternally malignant universe. This fucking remake made me want to sadistically kill people more than any metal record iv listened to lately.
       This film is wrong on so many fucking levels .
