APOPTHELEMA ENTRY 18 PART FOUR

"WARRIORS FROM HELL'S DOMAIN WILL BRING YOU TO YOUR DEATH!"....-SLAYER

In my previous special feature on the subject entitled "Maximum Rocknroll Fuck Off And Die" i criticized and thoroughly condemned Maximum Rocknroll.

Now M.R.R. is finally dead! Maximum Rocknroll has chosen to cease print publication. 

MRR was the only remaining independent newstand zine covering punk rock. MRR after a decades long existence became mad with power and started to essentially devour elements of the subculture it once championed and advocated.

A lot of the actions carried out by MRR in its last days were like the senseless power mad orgies of the gestapo and Mussolini's regime as depicted in films like Salo and Gestapo's Last Orgy. Only less fun...

Since MRR was primarily ran by uppity 'Mattachine Society"-esque androgonous mousy hair and glasses hipster trannys too busy being self righteously politically correct from their soap box to have any fun. 

Shooting their shots only from the safety of the MRR columns section. Not the cool 'Born to Be Cheap"/"Dead Skin Mask" trannys that have now unfortunately become an endangered species... 

Power corrupts. Like the old Megadeth song Symphony of Destruction. MRR went from being a nurturing supportive father to the scene, to a resentful abusive bitter old man spitting bile and hatred at the successful children he spawned.

Trying to politicize away the jealous self loathing incited in seeing its children exhibit free will and fly free from their control and accomplish things of greater value then they themselves did during their time.

MRR's coverage of music took a backseat to its tedious discussions of scene politics and armchair bashing of elements of the underground that didn't conform to their megalomaniacal status quo.

The M.R.R columns section became a status symbol and an exalted privileged soap box stood upon by the various angry little hipster Hitlers looked up to in awe by reverse conformist sheep . Walking in line in obedience to the standards set by the P.C. Scene Police.

Punk used to mean thinking for yourself. Then it became to many about thinking in accordance with the standards set by the current Crimethinc Mccarthyist granted a column in MRR...

Lest your band/venue or label become blacklisted by the columnists and shitworkers at MRR,  who, at the end, were essentially the Committee for Un-Punk Rock Activities.... Cashing in on the subcultural scene capitol accumulated during its bloated existence to make more power moves within the underground it sought to dominate-- like Hitler invading Poland.

Instead of tape trading and doing shit for themselves a lot of labels,bands and zines just paid the requisite fees to M.R.R to get an advertisement in their magazine or send them free review promo copies. It's like in Phantasy Star 2, the people of the planet have everything done for them by a robotic computer system known as Mother Brain. Once Mother Brain is killed off, the people have to struggle and work harder doing everything for themselves.But they become stronger free thinking individuals as a result.

MRR had columnists requesting people email them to report individuals within the scene that were unworthy.They started campaigning to have diy independent sellers and labels banned from Discogs.com for selling work by artists they didn't approve of. Towards the end went so far as to start a campaign to boycott Gilman Street. 

I lost any fucking respect i had left for the punk, crust and hardcore scene after seeing the actions perpetuated by the sewage workers at that zine and how many people in the scene proved themselves to be hypocritical posers and peer pressure zombies by refusing to call MRR on their bullshit. I'm glad it's fucking dead. 

The zine opened the doors for a lot of people. It was an introduction to the cult for many. But now its fucking dead and we need to move the fuck on and do it ourselves and quit mourning the loss of a totalitarian party organ that tried to control our lives and dictate our actions as individuals.

The only valid reason to look back upon MRR's corpse is to desecrate it and mutilate it.

HATE IS OUR BELIEF!

GAYLORD - THE BLACK METAL SCENE NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED

I wouldn't be surprised if the assholes in this band didn't rock Shelter backpatches and trade degrading sexual favors for rare Revelation records test presses...Dead Kennedys performed Nazi Punks Fuck Off live onstage. Back when you still had a lot of skinheads at shows. Jello said it in their face. Slapshot didn't hide behind a computer or an anonymous joke band. Same thing when Minor Threat came out with straight edge and criticized the drug wrecked party punks. They performed it live in your face. So they became anthems and forces of change within the underground. 

This band will never perform live.All the song titles on this ep are death threats against metalheads or shit like "Varg Impaled". This is either a trolling joke band ripping off Anal Cunt or some cowardly punks trying to copy Slapshot... Either way its a useless release saying nothing of value. Weak minded lesser men trying feebly to drag down their superiors. This band wont play this shit live or come out and show their true faces. In prison you have a subhuman class of inmate known as a cell warrior. Cell warriors are child molesters and rats that hide in the hole behind inch thick steel doors. Safe behind steel doors they yell insulting and disrespectful comments and empty threats to the active violent gang members to incite a reaction out of boredom. But they'll never come out of their cell and say it to their faces. This band and the people that support this shit are essentially just cell warriors. And just as pathetic. Adopting the tactics of cage crazy pedophiles hiding in shame to condemn and mock a movement superior and more valuable then the worthless lives of its detractors. . Fuck off and die.

XASTHUR - NIGHTMARES AT DAWN
I listened to Xasthur alot when i was drinking heavily. It goes good with alcoholism... Sober Xasthur loses a lot of its charm... Stylism over substance at its overrated best....Most of this record is just distorted X-Mal Deutschland ripoff bullshit atop poor man's Abruptum vocals mashed up with some shitty attempts at Mutillation. Degenerate Uprising has a sludgy funeral doom thing going on with some low end gurgling vocals like a rawer Nortt with Demillich vocals. Probably the best track on here. 

Degenerate Uprising is followed by a cover of Black Sabbath's A National Acrobat. He gets the tuning fairly correct. (C#,G#,C#,F#,A#,D#) The main riff is played fairly accurately. The riff is slightly blackened and it sounds pretty cool. But Xasthur doesn't even play the 2nd riff of the song, the wah pedal/hammer ons played underneath the verse 3&4 riff. It ends with a bass riff and doesn't break into a solo, stopping cold. It feels empty and half-assed without a solo. Not to mention the other 3 riffs besides the main riff Xasthur neglects to play.

Iommi's mysteriously twisted solo on National Acrobat is one of his best and like TNT hasn't been transcribed. I doubt Xasthur can shred anyway. Its an obscure Sabbath track and to the best of my knowledge, there's no official tablature or notation for the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album. Its funny how many people incorrectly compare doom metal to early Sabbath when Iommi didn't start the majority of his down tuning until the 4th album... Listen to Avulsed's Neon Knights, Belphegor's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Brutality's Electric Funeral, or Brutal Truth's Lord Of This World if you want to hear extreme metal covers of Sabbath... Xasthur's work is as always hit and miss , full of stylistic inconsistencies and failed experiments. With most Xasthur work there's usually a few good compositions scattered throughout a lot of weak shit. I pretty much just bought this because i was curious to hear how badly he mutilated Sabbath.. Same unfortunate morbid curiosity that keeps Six Feet Under in business.

Waste of money....

KRISTALLNACHT - BLOODDRENCHED MEMORIAL 1994 - 2002 
Kristallnacht is one of the greatest black metal bands. Endless blastbeats and indecipherable hypnotic tremolo patterns with very few distinguishable riffs. With a raw and brittle production that sounds like hell. With a fierce and powerfully inspired vocalist. This is uncompromisingly Lofi committed true black metal. Harsh and abrasive as fuck. Atonal dissonant minimalism. You can fuck off and die if your looking for anything melodic. 
Most of this has the fumbling violence and black noise depravity of cassette rehearsal demos. There's nothing technical about this band. Just a blasting hellish assault of misanthropic black metal.

This is one of my favorite black metal bands and this is an essential document of their work...

EVILFEAST - ISENHEIM/ABYSS CALLS

Funeral Sorcery is a kvlt classic...Its one of my favorites.

     It started as a die hard cassette of 200 copies and blew up thanks to hipster posers hearing about it through Feral House & Youtube.... This betrays the level of trve primitive raw underground traditions Funeral Sorcery abided by to the hilt. With its unfortunate use of cheesy synthesizer intros and campy sound effects..

              Funeral Sorcery's use of synths was more minimal in a 'Under the Sign Of The Black Mark'/Dungeons of Darkness' fashion. Burying this symphonic shit in the snow and leaving it there to rot in frozen waste is a much better use for this record than actually playing it... The keys on this sound as cheesy as national socialist power metal....

IMPRECATION - THEURGIA GOETIA SUMMA

Texas blackened death doom ritvals shattering the done to death Immolation/Incantation mold and stitching it back together with demonic traces of Disembowelment, Derketa, and the haunted aftertaste of warped Embalmer demo tapes. This has a subsonic cold minimalist low end menacing production that breathes pure evil.. On most of the tracks there's a powerful hollow aspect to the mastering. Its not completely peaked out and clipped. Then on later tracks the production and mastering is more abrasive and bludgeoning. With more pronounced lead work. Its an effective transition that compliments both phases of the record. The restrained use of synths on this record is done in a carefully cultivated and sparse fashion that accents the evil ambiance of this record. It doesn't detract from the metal or add any degree of accessibility to it.

TEITANBLOOD - SEVEN CHALICES

A blunt ferocious juggernaut of dull grunting brutality. Discordant constructs of nothing but pure hatred. Churning past all the atavistic pastiches with a gleam of remorseless depravity. Metal slowly tortured and beaten till it bleeds with the blood of old burns. Ominous summonings of metalliic immolations. Repetitive and hypnotic bludgeoning evil sound sculptures. This is a post-apocalyptic 'Seven Churches' burning black flames in the darkness of the new dark age. Infected blood in the face of the old guard that argue quixotically that it's all dead and nothing new can be done with the rotting corpse of extreme metal. This is one of the heaviest and harshest extreme metal records ever! Teitanblood reanimates the desecrated corpse of extreme metal allowing it to shamble fourth an undead atrocity chewing the throats out of the false. Hail the new dark age of extreme metal!

For all those who wished Burzum did more work in the vein of War..

Raw black thrash metal hails to the 1st and 2nd wave. Slaying it like Sabbat crossed over with early Sodom. An unholy blast of shredding headbanging devil worshipping old school filth to desecrate the false altars of modern metal.

PEST - REST IN MORBID DARKNESS

The kvlt horde responsible for the immortal classic 'Hail The Black Metal Wolves Of Belial' vomits fourth from the grave of the 80s another grim slab of putrid Deathcrush/Sarcafago/Vulcano spirited black metal cruelty. The previous work had some Hellhammer/Beherit/Von-esque breakdowns and black heavy metal atmosphere to it. This is more straight blasting... More Reign In Blood less Show No Mercy. Hail The Black Metal Wolves of Belial had a lot of iconic riffs and a lot of the songs were straight anthems.With songs like Opening The Eye Of Satan Pest created harrowing occult soundscapes without the crutch of keyboards. Lesser acts take note. This isn't on the level of Wolves. But its still evil as fuck.

It's funny I'mm accused of being a nazi, yet there are distros in israel selling my releases on discogs.com.. In Israel,  the Kiss logo is censored because it allegedly promotes anti-antisemitism. That's.almost as funny as when Prurient got stopped at the border on tour and had his merch and equipment confiscated because customs thought he was promoting hate crimes....

Its a sad anecdote cited in zines when government officials do it, but its a celebrated act when the scene police do it...Recently the P.M.R.R.C scene police in another act of blatant Mcarthyism attempted to bring back the hollywood black listing of the dark ages....The witch hunting that resulted in a lot of great writers being unable to get their work out their due to censorship and government fascism,.has now been reinvented in a campaign to censor discogs.com . Discogs.com was a way for independent distros and labels to sell releases outside the corporate controlled infrastructure of Amazon and Ebay . Now its being screened for content by Crimethink Mccarthyists....

Discogs has removed a lot of releases by Tesco, including a lot of Genocide Organ releases. You study Genocide Organ their clearly fucking nihilistic anarchists satirizing fascism. Why else would a European act do songs about white power racism in the United States? If you look up the names of the members of Genocide Organ you'll see clear references to german anarchists. You can subvert control systems by taking the symbols and methods of control as your own and disseminating them ...Hence the military surplus aspect of subculture fashion.

This is part of why pop punk, Kiss and hip hop are so mainstream.When you popularize a cartoon version of something, it disarms the real thing as a whole because the two become indistinguishable in the eyes of the masses. Gangsta rap was a threat to white america and struck fear in the hearts of the caucasian establishment.The government knew that banning it and talking about how dangerous it was would just serve to promote it and make it more of a threat. Kent State made the draft resistance movement more militant. So major labels started releasing it en mass and distributing rap music worldwide. So now rap music is so fucking mainstream and assimilated into pop culture it doesn't mean shit anymore. Its just cartoon bubblegum radio-friendly shit .The same thing was done with punk rock. And before that Kiss. Why do you think Kiss was so heavily promoted and merchandised?

But in the case of Power Electronics,Neofolk,Black Metal and other 'sketchy' strains of music you can't make that type of material mainstream. So they try to suppress it by getting it blacklisted from discogs.com . Which just makes it more underground and forbidden .By driving it further underground and forbidden your just adding value to it. Now it's more subversive and outside of the mainstream.

Bataille wrote a lot on how when the church tries to ban and suppress something it inadvertently gives it a value it didn't have previously.Not to mention in terms of record prices, This type of material is now harder to obtain and locate .So it will in all likelihood jump in price.Since you can't simply do a convenient paypal transaction. You in some cases have to go back to obtaining it through mailorder distros and zines like you did before the internet. This also means a lot of acts aren't going to casually latch onto this trend and attempt to use this type of imagery and sound unless their really fucking serious about it. Because now if you transgress beyond the confines of what's accepted by the Scene Police your releases end up blacklisted.

Historically that didn't stop anybody. Dalton Trumbo still won awards for his scripts. In addition to being just like the red scare, its also similar to how skinhead prison gangs check paperwork and charge pedophiles extortion money for having bad charges. What's allegedly a lofty act of justified vigilantism ends up just being an excuse for jockish meatheads that can't function outside of a cage to exercise power over weaker individuals. In most cases they manufacture rumors about what an individuals charges are. Just like punks are doing now. Fuckin base hypocrisy at its finest, So fuck censorship and fuck discogs.com and fuck your politics.. and fuck the Kiss army.

If you lookup Mortification's discography and look at the compilation appearances, Mortification is on the Nuclear Blast Showdown Spring 2010 comp,and take the time to look at who else appears on that comp....Then take note of the fact that Mortification is also on a comp called CHRISTIAN MUSICS NUMBER ONE CHARTING ROCK HITS VOLUME 2. a Rez tribute comp! 

You see all this witch hunting over allegedly fascist bands and Faust being a homophobe.. But nothing is said at all about the strong christian presence thats accepted within the scene. Without question. Slayer & Kreator etc are now labelmates with xian acts... Al ot of the top old school labels still in existence that are still successful have been essentially taken over by xians and posers. Victory becoming a xian label is a running joke to metalheads, but now they're going after metal labels.Making power moves.... They got Nuclear Blast... Roadrunner.. etc. Who's next ?

Look at how many formerly legit acts sold out to Toyota Scion to get their shit out their. The catholic church has a lot of money.... Find a few labels going broke run by dudes looking for a cash bailout so they don't get blacklisted by the Kvlt as bad trader ripoffs....

NSBM is marginalized,fringe and ostracized to a great extent. But openly Xian acts are on the same labels as Slayer and Kreator... Thats fucked up. Kreator's Endless Pain and Pleasure To Kill are top tier classics.Equal if not superior to Reign in Blood & Ride the Lightning. Kreator kills most of the "Big Fours" work. Kreator kept their metal more consistently true than any of the "Big Four". Kreator also does the best cover of Number of the Beast ever.

I grew up on thrash after i quit listening to so much hard rock/proto metal.I saw Ac/Dc during the Ballbreaker tour in 93/94,shortly after i saw Ted Nugent at the state fair, with Bad Company opening and i'v also seen Kansas live.... All before i even turned 11 years old..... I grew up in rural Wisconsin in the early 90s .Surrounded by my tweaker step mom and all her friends who were all Straight white trash alcoholic mullet rocker meth heads. My step mom was heavy into classic rock, her friends were more into the southern rock, Jackyl, GnR, shit. 

Straight fucking Gummo! 

Thats the hell i came up in. .Countdown to Extinction was the first thrash album i owned,.Metal was my escape from all the abuse So its sad to me to see Kreator on a label run by xian sympathizers. Christian music stands in complete opposition to everything True Metal stands for. It's the definition of false. It's designed for propaganda purposes to insidiously infiltrate itself into the healthy organism of the metal underground and infect it like a virus. Why is so little being done to stop this infection from spreading? 

Nsbm is about death,destruction,killing people,genocide,total war. Choosing to come out and label yourself as an openly Nsbm act usually means you're fucking committed to your message and sincere about your beliefs because you're choosing to do the polar opposite of selling out. Theirs a lot of solidarity between the themes of Nsbm and the ideology of misanthropic black metal.

I believe all of humanity is worthless and should be exterminated , no master race, no hope,no future . The only fault i find in Nsbm is they don't want to simply kill off the entire human race and think some portion of it can be saved and all that shit.

Nsbm has a little too much hope & optimisim in it. Also you see all these bands talking about burning churches and killing christians but how many bands are stepping up and standing against ALL religions? Satanic Warmaster did it. Satanic Warmaster fucking rules. Get their split with Behexen....Satan is the opposer and to be in true opposition you need to stand against all that is holy without remorse. Not simply omit any criticisms of other religions because your fucking scared of the p.c. scene police tagging you as a Nsbm, and if they do, so what, a follower of christ is always worse than a nazi. 

AND GRAVELAND FUCKING RULES!!! After i got taken by Child protective services when i was like 11 or 12, cuz my dad was beating me and my stepmom was too spun out to give a fuck.. They put me in St Ameilians boys home. They used to beat and fuck all the kids in the ass that were weak and didn't fight back. They had mandatory bible study, and the place was run by catholics.I used to have to fight hard to not get fucked in the ass and i had to smuggle in heavy metal/thrash tapes after family visits because they were contraband . Google ST AMELIANS MILWAUKEE. 

Those tapes gave me the strength to get through that hell. I remember reading Spawn comics & watching Hellraiser 2 as a kid and wanting to go to Hell. Hell looked pretty fucking cool to me compared to the Gummo shithole i had to endure.

I wanted to "Enter the Eternal Fire".

.... So i've personally experienced what religion is all about. I hate christians!

PRURIENT - FROZEN NIAGRA FALLS
Brain damaged worthlessness. The muttering sounds of a sell out victim of child molestation who now yearns to press his lips to the groins of still innocent children, so he can taste what he used to taste like, before he sold his flesh out in service to the greater depravities of his master and became a burnt out husk. A traitor pretending to be something of value, providing the inspiration and instruction for others to follow in the wretched path he has taken towards perpetual aesthetic whoredom.. You listen for moments to the leaking grey dust and cliches .The silent explosions of powerless emo-violence electronics beating a sampled drum ring modulated through a rectum noise gate to the sound of mother's urine. paint by numbers Disintegration of Unknown Pleasures through the hands of a dull uninspired hack guitarist provides the backing track for some wretched skank that sounds like Diamanda Galas with Down Syndrome on pain pills. Or a toothless harelipped crack whore after a stroke doing Cocteau Twins Karoke... The drooling mumblings of a deaf girl choking on her tongue. This is like an all girl goth version of The Kids Of WIdney High. Layla Gibbons loves this band so i should have known better. This band is basically Burning Witch with their balls cut off! It sounds like some shitty bedroom DSBM project trying to go legit by crossing over into indie garage rock. Overly discernible riffage that's blatantly derivative Primitive&Deadly/Glider worship. The whiny bitch vocalist for this band sounds like his last gig was playing in a middle school Linkin Park cover band and the guitarist sounds like hes just doing emo pastiches of Earth/Jesu/ riffs with the occasional shitty digital preset factory default effects at the end of the jam because he cant solo very well. The guitars never build into anything fully crushing, they just noodle around and hint at it.

Like the careful hesitation marks on a teenage cutter trying to freak out his parents never actually carving through anything vital. This is the type of shit posers that can't handle true doom spend time seeking out because they can't understand the lyrics or it's loud or too distorted , and all that prattle., Those arent valid criticisms.It's like listening to an immature pedophile complain about sex with an adult woman. Your immature and fucked up in the head and you have a little dick, so you manifest your pathetic insecurities by fucking children because healthy developed adult women scare you and intimidate you . NASH THE SLASH-DREAMS&NIGHTMARES

Nash was a cult surrealist composer most active in the late 70s/early 80s. An antecedent to the current work of Christopher Young and Brian Reitzell. He just died recently.  PARADISE LOST-DROWN IN DARKNESS:THE EARLY DEMOS

Burzum cited the Paradise Lost demos as a main influence in his autobiography. And if you listen to Frozen Illusion from Paradise Lost and then Snu Mikrokosms Tegn off Burzum's Det Som Lp the influence is obvious. Slow shambling down tempo combination of campy late 80s death metal histrionics and more atmospheric 'Early Bathory in slow motion' evilness, Like a blackened Autopsy .

The noisy production of this and the epic evil nature of this and the attitude of this render this an absolute cult classic. There's a lot of distinctive pinch harmonics and saturated distortion on the guitars, that attempts to emulate the slow menacing melodies of Hammer films horror soundtracks, matching perfectly with the demonic vocals fighting for clarity on the warped cassette this was sourced from. After these late 1980s demo tapes Paradise Lost sadly went the way of the various beloved Proto-industrial groups that sold their soul to synthpop. These demos fucking rule. In addition to their noted influence on Burzum.,These demos tapes helped start Death Doom, moving death away from its speed-obsessed thrash roots towards more transgressive sonic explorations of evil.

BEREFT - LEICHENHAUS

This appears to be recorded in one straight session, no editiing. Mentality of The Inanimate is the best track on this record.  Very bleak funeral sludge, the suffocating dissonant doom is combined with harmonic droning walls of piercing feedback and rusty accoustic interludes, Like a low-budget Evoken crossed with a less core Dementia Senex. After Mentality, it briefly gets too melodic in certain sections but the brutality of the vocals save it. They try to layer fx pedals to add texture. Electric Wizard and Skullflower can pull that off, but when Bereft tries , you get the maudlin aftertaste of beardo Isis worship.

There appears to be two vocalists trading off: low/high. One of the vocalist sounds like he has alot of experience doing death metal and the other vocalist sounds like he comes from more of a dark hardcore background, in the vein of His Hero Is Gone. This changes up quite a bit and bleeds into itself like one long harrowing composition. It's a unique full length. This band should move away from the 'Cult Of Luna' aspects of their sound and move towards a noisier death direction. It sounds like most of this band is made up of reformed hardcore musicians trying to cross over into a darker more extreme direction. This is a fucking epic harsh brutal and monolithic effort for the most part aside from the unfortunate dabblings in hipster/core shit.

CHTHE'ILIST -LE DERNIER CREPUSCLE

A gurgling gothic sewer of Death Doom. . Like Demillich crossed with Undergang . Subtle horror soundtrack keyboards and dark ambient effects fleshing out the sewage and alongside the absurdly low vocals Demillich is infamous for you also get Incantation-esque raspy shrieks and occult chanting. Shredding solos and satanic Funkadelic basslines occassionally float to the surface of the sewage, like bloated corpses.The vocals change up depending on the atmosphere.

Very well-layered work that builds like a nightmarish soundscape. Some sounds become buried and then rise from the grave. Unsettling fluctuations in sound..Very powerful metal record with intelligent themes and interesting riffs and atmosphere .

Discogs.com was a way for independent distros and labels to sell releases outside the corporate controlled infrastructure of Amazon and Ebay . Now it's being screened for content by Crimethinc Mccarthyists.... Discogs has removed a lot of releases by Tesco, including a lot of Genocide Organ releases. You study Genocide Organ their clearly fucking nihilistic anarchists satirizing fascism. Why else would a European act do songs about white power racism in the United States? If you look up the names of the members of Genocide Organ you'll see clear references to German anarchists. You can subvert control systems by taking the symbols and methods of control as your own and disseminating them ...Hence the military surplus aspect of subculture fashion.This is part of why pop punk,Kiss and hip hop are so mainstream.When you popularize a cartoon version of something, it disarms the real thing as a whole because the two become indistinguishable in the eyes of the masses.

Gangsta rap was a threat to white America and struck fear in the hearts of the caucasian establishment.The government knew that banning it and talking about how dangerous it was would just serve to promote it and make it more of a threat, likeKent State made the draft resistance movement more militant.

So major labels started releasing it en mass and distributing rap music worldwide. So now rap music is so fucking mainstream and assimilated into pop culture it doesn't mean shit anymore. It's just cartoon bubblegum radio friendly shit .

The same thing was done with punk rock. And before that Kiss. Why do you think Kiss was so heavily promoted and merchandised?

But in the case of Power Electronics, Neofolk, Black Metal and other 'sketchy' strains of music you can't make that type of material mainstream. So they try to suppress it by getting it blacklisted from discogs.com . Which just makes it more underground and forbidden .By driving it further underground and forbidden, you're just adding value to it. Now its more subversive and outside of the mainstream.

Bataille wrote a lot on how when the church tries to ban and suppress something it inadvertently gives it a value it didn't have previously. Not to mention in terms of record prices, This type of material is now harder to obtain and locate .So it will in all likelihood jump in price.Since you can't simply do a convenient paypal transaction. You in some cases have to go back to obtaining it through mailorder distros and zines like you did before the internet.This also means a lot of acts aren't going to casually latch onto this trend and attempt to use this type of imagery and sound unless they're really fucking serious about it. Because now if you transgress beyond the confines of what's accepted by the Scene Police your releases end up blacklisted. But historically that didn't stop anybody.

Dalton Trumbo still won awards for his scripts. In addition to being just like the red scare, it's also similar to how skinhead prison gangs check paperwork and charge pedophiles extortion money for having bad charges. What's allegedly a lofty act of justified vigilantism ends up just being an excuse for jockish meatheads that can't function outside of a cage to exercise power over weaker individuals.
