Kboo.FM 90.7 Portland's cult favorite community sponsored indie radio station has shamefully decided to cease its support and recognition of metal. As a result, all true metalheads should step the fuck up and boycott Kboo.FM And refuse to donate shit for their next membership drive. Until they bring back the Heavy Metal Vomit Party!

For over ten years Kboo aired the Heavy Metal Vomit Party radio show and it always followed Life During Wartime. They played a good variety of black, death, thrash, grind, doom and traditional heavy metal. They didn't make you sit through various examples of false metal like every other corporate metal show on the airwaves. It was one of the best and only ways to listen to metal on the radio.

After covid. the hosts of Heavy Metal Vomit Party got lazy and busy with more important shit than supporting the scene and representing metal. They started playing nothing but reruns of the show. They could have simply prerecorded a set. They only had to play 3 hours of metal every other weekend. I guess that was too fucking hard. If you can't dedicate three hours every other week to playing metal. you’re false. If no one else in the metal scene in Portland could be bothered to step up as a soldier of true metal and keep the fire burning, that's fucking pathetic!

Pandemonium used to alternate weeks with Heavy Metal Vomit Party. Pandemonium fell off playing black metal. Now, its mostly Stephen O'Malley worshipping drone shit, minimal techno and weak dark ambient detritus.

So now Kboo only has one dude playing metal and this dude’s too lazy to come in most of the time And he only has shows like once a month. The last set he played was just three long songs. He’ll play some metal every now and then but gets bored halfway through a great metal set and starts playing some math rock postpunk records. It’s the radio equivalent of prematurely ejaculating and switching to a rimjob.…

It’s fucked also that despite the allegedly vibrant and active true metal scene in Portland nobody bothered to step up and keep Heavy Metal Vomit Party going let alone complain about its death. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Pathetic.

So Kboo.FM is no longer metal! Let alone in support of metal! So you’re not fucking metal and you’re a traitor to metal if you’re supporting Kboo.FM. When they come begging for money so they can stay on the air, tell Kboo.FM to fuck off and die! Boycott them until they start respecting metal!

Heavy Metal Vomit Party helped raise funds to keep the station alive during the membership drives and they got repayed with cancellation! And let the former hosts of Heavy Metal Vomit Party know they’re traitors and cowards!

POPOFF ARCHIVE SERIES 6 :AMERICAN POWER METAL

I listen to primarily black/death/doom/thrash .

I love more traditional stuff like Angel Sword, Reverend Bizarre, Warlock, Mercyful Fate and of course my favorite Manowar song is Demons Whip.

I was raised on rock but my knowledge of traditional heavy metal and power metal is somewhat lacking.

This book introduced me to a lot of the more obscure acts keeping it true and offered a lot of insight and exegesis on the legendary acts featured I was already familiar with.

You have a lot of soulless disposable extreme metal nowadays because with the notable exception of Deathhammer's Evil Power Lp and Hooded Menace, a lot of the current crop of deadbangers draw influence from only death/black/grind and deem themselves too brutal or kvlt to listen to the more traditional work let alone take influence from it.

So you have an incestuous corruption of metal's ability to evolve.

The classics of death and black were rooted in tradition, like Chuck's obsession with Gamma Ray.

So what if the interviews may not be as exciting or subversive as Metalion's work but its still an essential book for anyone who gives a fuck about true metal.

As essential as Deathhammers Evil Power album.

Popoff focuses his interviews primarily upon the music not sordid war stories, Ferraris, and trivial scene politics.

There's some interesting revelations In here.

Like Manowar trashing Nwobhm and praising Primus.

There's also some great interviews with Yngwie that don't bring to mind the B side to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Iced Earths interview brought up Spawn.

The fierce independent fuck the majors creator owned DIY agenda of Todd McFarlane isn't brought up but it was likely an influence on metal.

It sucks the Spawn movie soundtrack mentioned by Iced Earth turned into a comp of techno remixes of shitty rap rock/alt radio rock trend slaves.

I felt betrayed by the Spawn soundtrack and movie when I was a kid.

It was a Cold Lake moment....

More people should take the time to study Popoff's work.

Amazon doesn't carry this book you have to order it directly from the author

But seeking out obscurities is part of showing your dedication to the underground.

This book's $30 bucks for a trade paperback.

Not as fancy as a Bazillion Points release but its got a lot of heart and integrity.

A lot of he power metal bands in this book talk about a non ironic resurgence of true heavy metal that isn't mere atavistic fetishism and trendy pastiche.

A lot of them do a good job at it but the still criminally underrated Deathhammer fucking slays most of them

SLAYER - D.X. FERRIS

Far better then Mciver's book on Slayer.

This updated edition covers Repentless and is a full length sequel to Ferris' seminal analysis of Reign In Blood.

Ferris wrote a fairly informative, in-depth and well researched book on Slayer. It is powerful insight on the most dedicated, legit and committed of the big four. Slayer kills all.

That statement doesn’t need to be expanded upon, defended, or explained any further.

Whatever the fuck you want to say about Slayer and later failed experiments to keep active, those mediocre later albums were still better then any other major label metal release of that decade. Slayer are gods of metal and are above the laws of man and thus above all scene politics.

This book reminds us of why Slayer kills all such as Jeff Hanneman putting himself at greater risk of death by refusing to get his arm amputated so he could still shred. This book is highly recommended and essential.

The only complaint I have is when Ferris starts voicing his ambivalent personal opinions about modern metal. Ferris has worked for Decibel.

Ferris make logically incorrect statements like calling Slipknot "The truest Nu Metal" Listening to and supporting the "The Truest Nu Metal" is like eating the least rotten food out of the dumpster or fucking the least infected crackwhore.

What's the fucking point?

Also Nu metal shouldn’t be dignified with the classification of Nu Metal. Its false metal pure and simple. Decibel lost most of its integrity when they chose to call Codex Obscurum humorless and elitist. Criticizing, instead of supporting, a dedicated group of metalheads that put in the ardent work to write, layout, finance and distribute a DIY print zine in this ear is as false as it gets.

Lamestream rock journalists that like to pretend they’re better metalheads because their unbiased approach makes them more open minded. But in most cases that just makes more sympathetic to weak poser shit.

In a lot of cases, these journalists perpetuate the poser trends by legitimizing them in print. Instead of covering the new Deathhammer, Mitochondrion etc album, they'd rather give coverage to whatever trendy poser shit the majors have released lately.

When you’re running a corporate sponsored glossy bar-coded magazine, You have to answer to people outside of the metal underground. You don’t have the full creative license to say what you want and you have to pander to your corporate sponsors… So you don’t go out of business.

Because there are financial concerns involved that undermine the integrity of the writers for these magazines. If you’re DIY and financing it and distributing it yourself, your opinions hold more weight and are more credible. Untainted by major label coercion.

Slayer Kills!

BIBLE OF BUTCHERY THE OFFICAL BIOGRAPHY OF.CANNIBAL CORPSE

-Joel McIver

This book basically consists of extended interviews with the band compiled by McIver in a Please Kill Me -esque fashion.

McIver is one of those tourist dilettantes that, despite being on the surface a dedicated metalhead, feels the need to use comedic relief,hipster irony and pedantic rationalizations to justify and apologize to the herd for his interest in metal.

The type of posturing public relations weekend warrior asshole that instead of embracing his outsider status feels the need to ensure the herd that metalheads are really normal people and safe...

Fuck off and die with that cowardly shit.

Standing pride against the world of shit is an integral part of being a metalhead and the guilty have no pride.

This bio has no interviews or input from Chris Barnes for whatever reason...

The first four Cannibal Corpse albums were brutal classics of death metal that were still rooted in thrash and retained a degree of grind to it.

The unapologetic gore obsessed misanthropic splatter lyrics set a cult standard.

After Alex Webster took over writing the lyrics for Cannibal Corpse albums they suffered significantly in quality.

The later stuff never crossed over

It evolved interestingly in terms of technique.

Cannibal Corpse remained the only above-ground extreme metal band to chart and remains one of the only extreme metal bands to achieve a high degree of commercial success without selling out.

Cannibal Corpse never put out a Cold Lake or a Heartwork. 

That's honorable especially considering the fact that most bands lose it after four albums then they peak and go rot and roll or whatever the fuck.

This bio has a lot of interesting history of the band and is well worth reading.

Despite Mcivers unfortunate involvement and the lack of input from Barnes.

ALLEGAEON – APOPTOSIS

This poser band is to True Death Metal what rancid pineapple flavored soda is to a fresh pineapple... Fake Death Metal for trendy aggro emo kids and alternajocks..... I saw a full page ad for this album in Guitar World. it claimed pompously that its a "Perfect symbiosis of technical, progresssive and melodic death metal".… Which to me is like taking a selection of the most derivative and foul tasting processed artificially flavored pineapple food products and sticking them in a blender and trying to eat the resulting pseudo pineapple mess…

Why would anybody do that when you could just buy a real pineapple and eat that?

Or better yet shove the pineapple up the ass of whoever signed these posers to Metal Blade...

I also don’t fucking get what the point of melodic death metal is. Other then posers who like to flirt with extremity but still need safe catchy melodies to keep them grounded in something they can relate to... To me the term melodic Death Metal is an oxymoronic contradiction in terms like soft rock and civil war…

Also if you make a concentrated effort to proudly classify yourself as technical death, your admitting that jockish arbitrary shredding circle jerks take priority over substance.

The bands that provided the prototype for what technical death metal became, Post Human Death, Cryptopsy, Atheist, Hellwitch, didn’t for the most part set out to be classified as tech death. They came to that transgressive evolution of form naturally through experimentation and improvisation and it was done in an effort to further the aesthetic drive and personal vision of the artists involved especially in the case of later Death. For the record, Chuck rules and all the Death albums have their value and merit. Its an unfortunate trend to only focus on the first couple Death albums and ignoring all of Chuck's other innovations within the field of Extreme Metal.

Whereas acts like Allegaeon put themselves in a stylistic straight jacket from the start . Going so far as to include it in there fucking marketing campaign. Thus perpetuating the legions of trend bands that play in accordance not with a personal creative vision burning inside their twisted psyche clawing its way out like Chuck. But In base conformity to preestablished methods and techniques. Bands like this need to just fuck off and die. These assholes spent more fucking money on a full page ad in Guitar World then most underground bands and labels spend pressing vinyl. The ad also shows the shirts they got for sale. This band is so false their shirts are gray. Their bands shirt arnt even black. They go good with crusty semen stained sweatpants.…

There’s nothing fucking Death Metal about this... Its just boring weak shit from trying to make it corporate trend slaves…

Bands like Portal and Mitochondrion, stay rooted in the old school and still manage to carry Extreme Metal forward in new brutal and barbaric directions. Whereas posers like this band arrogantly sever their connections to the old gods and try to reinvent the fucking wheel in the image of their post millennial hipster status quo. You don’t even need to listen to the record to see how much this band sucks.

Just look at the professional press release photos of the band.… They got the token minority member that looks like a cross between a Mexican male prostitute tweaker and a jihadist pedophile. And then you got a few husky cornhole fed frat bro dudes with backwards baseball caps, Fred Durst beards and fancy sports shoes...

DENIAL OF GOD - THE HALLOW MASS
This isn’t as powerful or moving as its classic predecessor Death And The Beyond. One of the greatest metal concept albums. Like a Black Metal take on Priest's Beyond The Realms of Death.

But Hallow Mass is still a fucking masterwork of epic thanantopsis black metal. The death themes are executed in a meditative occultist context. Denial Of God's later work is very distinctive and original. Unmistakable as anything but Denial Of God. Especially the demonic controlled use a wah pedal throughout alongside the meticulously sculpted tremolo patterns. All these songs are pretty much in the 10 to 14 minute range. Despite the extended length of the songs they still remain engaging and moving.

The long awaited third offering from Savage Master.
Fuck the politics. Just bang your head!

Portland police are corrupt to the core. Look at the Scott Elliott case. Senior Portland P.D. Sex Crimes Detective indicted and convicted for distribution of child pornography.

That Which Offends Us Also Provokes Us To Think. 

Mikko Aspa from Deathspell Omega/Clandestine Blaze/Northern Heritage saw the fucking golden shower videos mentioned on the news.

Mikko praised them highly. He knew they were consensual videos.

Lots of people in the Portland know who Angie is, Such as Josh from Aldebaran/Splatterhouse/Tusks Of Blood. People saw both of us at shows all the time. We had a disruptive Sid And Nancy presence. 

First and foremost, the opinions and value judgments placed upon me by the individuals on this Facebook group are being voiced from the safe proxy of a computer on the internet, by cowardly lames online. 

What the fuck do you do of any significance to the cause of furthering metal?

I walk around prison wearing long fucking hair and a baphomet sigil i got by filing paperwork. I get challenged and mistaken for a transvestite because of my hair. I survive. I don't pay rent. I don't get fucked in the ass. I'm not in protective custody.

I fight for metal. The prison wouldn't sell me a decent distortion pedal or drum machine. So i filed grievances and discrimination complaints against the chapel services because christians were allowed electric guitar equipment for their bible thumper bullshit.

I cited a precedent set by a magistrate in a similar civil rights lawsuit against the Federal Bureau Of Prisons. I found this case by doing hours of legal research.So now i have a Zoom G1x Four. 

I ran the risk of pissing a lot of inmates off by getting the chapel music services shut down but i don't give a fuck.

How many fucking hours a day do you spend in a cage shredding?

I practice close to 10 hours a day.

You don't live for this shit or bleed for it. You just dabble in it and amuse yourself by dipping your toe in the water on a metal group on facebook. Fuck you.

Criticizing me for my criminal charges and actions is as ignorant and hypocritical as listening to gangsta rap and criticizing the rapper for being an uppity ghetto thug nigger.

I stand as a cruel reminder that the lyrics to most metal songs are to lesser men such as yourselves proxys through which you vicariously experience the deeds of stronger and greater individuals than yourselves. You listen to violent music with themes of violence and death but you know nothing of real violence let alone committing it.

I do.. I'v experienced a lot of violence and depravity in my life, shit you've only read about on the lyrics sheets. You can look at my criminal history as a clear testament to the fact that i don't give a fuck about humanity. I'm committed to the left path to hell. Iv sold my soul to Satan. Literally. I was close allies with Jay Scott Ballenger when i was in federal prison in Terre Hautte. The missionary of Lucifer. Convicted of burning down 33 churches. He did the necessary ritual.

Have you detractors and online cowards sold your soul to Satan as i have?

I doubt it.

The victim in my case was a bag bitch meth-whore. She testified to being held captive to avoid being charged for possession for the drugs in our apartment. Under common area search and seizure laws she would have been indicted. She was on the lease. 

When I took her to the hospital she had a pipe burn on her hand from the dope dripping out of the stem. Chemical burns get you raided. Especially if you got priors for running meth labs like she did. 

So she did what needed to be done to avoid being charged.

After that , i gave her money in county which she used to get a hipster lame spun out, he then killed his mommy and then blew his own brains out the back of his skull. She robbed his apartment afterwards. I got interrogated for it. It was on the front of the Oregonian. So she then snitched on a bunch more people. She was one of the D.E.A.'s main confidential informants for the "White Christmas" drug busts all over north east Portland.

So i got no problems in prison. Shes a known rat with no fucking credibility. 

So you weren't fucking there. All you fucking know is what the mass media tells you to believe and like a fucking sheep you believe and follow the lies of the mass media.

Professor Guibert wrote a piece entitled: "The Science Of Metal" a study that he claims proves we're not really
evil misanthropic Satanists, we're mostly catholics playing dressup,etc.. Professor Guibert's study focused
entirely upon the attendees of Hellfest. He focuses his study on the posers that are attracted to large openly promoted above ground festivals like Hellfest. Guibert uses his study to prove that only 23 percent of festival attendees "dress metal" on a regular basis, You're supposed to live  & breath metal not "dress metal."

Guibert did this to prove to the masses that there's not actually a cult of "devil worshippers" . Guibert
is simply just another tourist dilettante trying to make sense of something he deosn't understand and
thus fears. Guibert stands with his poser brethren in praise of christ, trying to defang,compartmentalize
and make sense of something they, as xians, fear. Guibert is an agent of the lord trying to assimilate
himself into the underground and pass his judgements upon the underground so he can reassure the
